Parenthood is a Roller Coster

Parenthood is a Roller Coster

Parenthood is a roller coaster.

It’s filled with ups and downs and twists and turns.

There are moments you can predict what will happen and moments that take you by surprise.

It’s also very much an emotional one.

This morning I woke up completely DONE and my day hadn’t even started.

10 Things Healthy People Do Before 8 AM

10 Things Healthy People Do Before 8 AM

Even if you don’t consider yourself a morning person there are things you can do, or start to do, to build a healthy routine and start your day off on the right foot.

The first hour you are awake is what sets the tone for the rest of your day. If you can build a healthy daily morning routine you are more likely to have a successful, productive day, every day.

Unplugging

Unplugging

I’ve said it before, and I’m sure you have too. It would be so nice to unplug from your phone and social media every now and then. I honestly couldn’t tell you how many times a day I check my phone. The sad truth of the matter is; I’m doing it out of habit. Have you ever thought about it? I’m sure you are too!

A Christmas Thought

A Christmas Thought

We have so much to be thankful for, some people never will have the chance to enjoy Christmas lights, or have family to celebrate with. The holidays really are a humbling time for me. It’s easy to get caught up in the stress of the holidays and not often enough do people look back on all they have and things they should be thankful for.

How to be More Efficient with Time Management

How to be More Efficient with Time Management

You dream of living your life stress free, accomplished and at peace. But, with this never ending list and no plan of how to organize your day, you will never acquire that lifestyle.

The trick is; understanding how to manage your time. Once this is accomplished, you can learn to live life productively.

What We Should Remember After Election Day

What We Should Remember After Election Day

Why is it that;

People that claim to want equal rights bully those who don’t vote the same way as them.

People who preach to love one another go on rants with people with different thoughts.

People who teach love to their children, practice hate in the comments section of other people’s posts.

Learning to Love the Season I Hate

Learning to Love the Season I Hate

It’s always time for tea. I have really become a fan of drinking tea. I start my morning with a tea every day and usually end it with one as well. However, I must admit, there’s just something special about sipping on tea, when you’re drinking it for its warmth as well as for its taste.

One Year Older, One Year Wiser

One Year Older, One Year Wiser

I recently celebrated my birthday (Heyyoo fellow Librans). Actually, it was my ‘champagne’ birthday, or ‘golden’ birthday, or whatever you choose to call it. It’s when you turn the same age as the day you were born.

This year, I turned 27 on the 27th of September. I don’t feel much older, but I can’t help but notice how close 27 is to 30!!! 27 is officially your ‘late twenties’!

The Final Good Bye

The Final Good Bye

I got the news sitting in the airport of St. Johns, about to board the plane to come home. My husband had just got off the phone with my family and had the job to relay the news to me.

I broke down instantly, in the airport. Without a care in the world, that people were probably staring. After a solid 15 minute sob (and after many final boarding calls) I managed to stop crying long enough to walk my red puffy eyes onto the plane.
